Slogan: homemade treat made with love
What we did:With LOCOMADES, we reinvented traditional Greek loukoumades by replacing predictable nostalgia with a wild, high-energy brand personality.
We chose a name that fuses “crazy” modern energy with heritage, pairing it with a custom wordmark in fluid golden script and a minimalist circular crown icon that represents the delicacy.
We brought this identity into the physical world as a dimensional 3D storefront sign mounted against a warm, perforated copper backdrop to establish a premium street-food destination.
To build a youth-driven culture around the brand, we illustrated a cast of eccentric cartoon characters with “loco” looking eyes and unique toppings, translating them into collectible pin badges. The brand identity is grounded by the comforting tagline, “homemade treat made with love,” which stands out sharply on clean white takeaway boxes as fresh pastries are ladled with milk chocolate and caramel.
For the marketing campaign, we subverted historic, black-and-white photography by blending in vibrant, full color loukoumades, creating surreal street billboards of a vintage worker with a towering plate and archival imagery of schoolgirls holding a branded gift box and a pastry skewer.
Finally, a rhythmic video teaser ties the concept together, focusing entirely on the sensory, mouth-watering motion of shimmering honey and rich chocolate cascading over perfect stacks of the delicacy.
