Farma Mousthenis
Client: Farma Mousthenis
What we did:Farma Mousthenis commissioned us to create an eye-catching packaging identity that honors the traditional philosophy of the estate, while keeping production and printing costs exceptionally low so as not to burden the product’s final market price.
By studying the needs of the Farm in depth, we implemented a clean and completely original visual system that balances modern minimalism with a rich local heritage. The overall design philosophy was based on a series of traditional Mediterranean geometric patterns and bold color-blocking, creating a versatile brand architecture that harmoniously unites entirely different categories under a common corporate voice—from dairy products to exquisite gourmet spreads.
On supermarket shelves and in refrigerators, the farm’s products stand out immediately thanks to the deliberate contrast between clean, white space and dense, rhythmic geometric patterns. For the core dairy line—such as fresh goat’s milk and white cheeses—the system utilizes high-contrast Mediterranean blue and vibrant sky-blue pattern variations. This clever use of simple two-color printing on standardized white containers and bottles achieves a premium result of high visual impact, with absolutely no increase in production costs.
As the portfolio expands into more gourmet options, the visual identity differentiates to reflect the uniqueness of each product while keeping the character of the farm intact. The fine yellow cheeses adopt earthy, warm shades, using intricate burgundy and brown patterns combined with clever paper cut-outs that showcase the product itself. For the traditional handmade pasta, the design pairs an economical, transparent bag with a vertical paper sleeve in mustard tones, which blends organically with the golden color of the pasta. Finally, on the handmade jams and chutneys, the abstract patterns give way to an intense iconographic narrative. Through the use of highly aesthetic monochromatic line-art illustrations—such as the distinctive depiction of two hands holding fresh strawberries—and rich colors like deep red and purple, the packaging successfully transforms pure rural tradition into a memorable gastronomic experience that effectively drives sales growth.
